New Order singles compilation

Rhino Records has issued a compilation of New Order's singles that I recommend. New Order is massively influential in the history of alternative music, and to own this re-mastered collection of 31 of their singles is a nice addition to your library of music.

I'll have some of these 2-disc sets to give away next week.

New Order is one of my favorite bands of all-time.

Natural Selection

I stopped to get gasoline at Sinclair in Bountiful this morning and was shocked to see two idiots smoking next to a gas pump. They were pumping gasoline into a plastic one-gallon container. One of the geniuses actually had a cigarette in one hand, and the gas hose in the other while dispensing the gasoline.

Was it wrong for me to hope for the fumes to ignite this idiot? Am I really that vicious? Yeah. I guess I am. Darwin's theory of natural selection warms my heart during the holiday season.

Win some money!

Todd's camera phone will provide more wacky nonsense for the blog...

Yesterday's X Amounts of Xmas Cash winner only had one song. Just one song. $96 is all she got. Now I know that many of you had all ten songs, but somehow she got through as caller number nine at 5 pm with Artie Fufkin.

I hope Corey O'Brien didn't break his leg yesterday while moving some furniture. He showed up for his shift anyway, and if I find out that he worked with a broken leg, I'll feel bad for him. A similar thing happened to Andypants, our overnight guy, who had a fractured foot for days before the doctors figured it out.

***UPDATE****
Corey's leg isn't broke ... as far as he knows, but he has a nasty bruise.

Xmas Shopping

I did some Xmas shopping over the weekend. Damn, the malls are crowded. But thank god for The Van's Store in Fashion Place. I found several lovely gifts for myself.

Besides that, my weekend was boring. And that was just fine.
