ROCK out with your BLEEP out weekend
X96 presents the first ever Rock Out With Your Bleep Out Weekend. We're having a party, and we're gonna rock just a little bit! Artie Fufkin will kick it off tomorrow at 3 pm. The warm spring weather makes you want to roll down the windows, wear shorts, and crank it up past eleven. You'll hear lots of Tool, Linkin Park, Nine Inch Nails, and classic stuff from The Cult, Deftones, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Korn, and even some Danzig! Lots of rockin' tunes both old and new.
And we're putting "Hey There Delilah" in time out just for this weekend.

I'm going to Moab!
Mrs. Nuke 'Em and I are taking a quick little trip to Moab, so I'll be gone Monday through Wednesday of next week. I will be taking my laptop and digital camera, so watch for updates on my blog. It won't be hardcore biking and hiking, but a lazy time spent reading and relaxing. I'm also working on a new novel, and I'll have plenty of time to work on that as well.

10:20 am "Boys Don't Cry" The Cure
1:20 pm "Bleeding Ears & Broken Hearts" The Market
The Market is my buddy and co-worker Bryan Schuurman's one man band. He writes, plays all instruments, sings, records, and mixes the entire song at home on his Mac with Garage Band. I love the technology that is available to today's independent musicians. Anything that fuels one's personal creativity is a wonderful thing. Check out www.myspace.com/themarkettunes for more info.
