Join Me Saturday!

Hey folks, I'll be broadcasting live this Saturday from 11am-1pm at Karl Malone Toyota in the Sandy Auto Mall (about 110th south Automall Drive.) The people at Karl Malone Toyota kick ass because they helped us get the brand new Toyota FJ Cruiser that you can enter to win while I'm there. I'll even have tickets to the X96 Maverik Big Ass Show.

See you Saturday!

Less Than 96 Cents Per Band

The X96 Maverik Big Ass Show will consist of 13 bgands on the main stages plus 8 on the Live and Local stage for a total of 21 bands. The math works out to be less than 96 cents per band. With such a cheap ticket price for our concert, it is obvious that we absolutely adore you.

Branden Steineckert, formerly from The Used, is working on producing some bands. Check out his profile at www.myspace.com/unknownstudio I'm playing the new Broke song on Todd's iPod today, and their forthcoming album was produced by Branden. I wish him the best of luck in the future.

THE USED PART WAYS WITH DRUMMER BRANDEN STEINECKERT

Band's Third Album Is Nearly Complete, To Be Released In Early 2007

Burbank, CA, September 12, 2006-The Used, from Orem, UT, have announced the departure of drummer Branden Steineckert from the band.

In a joint statement, band members Bert McCracken, Jeph Howard, and Quinn Allman said, "We felt that we needed to move forward without Branden as our drummer. We wish Branden well, and owe a great deal of gratitude towards him for his hard work over the years. We could not have gotten this far without him. We all wish much happiness and success in Branden's future endeavors - wherever they may lead."

The Used became an instant musical force shortly after the release of their critically acclaimed self-titled debut in June 2002. The record, and the bands unpredictable live shows were influential in popularizing a genre of music that is now embraced by many a rock fan around the world. Their follow up, In Love And Death, was a musical powerhouse of the aggressive kind, fueling band record sales past the 2 million mark worldwide. Since their debut, The Used has performed over 1000 live shows around the globe. The band was the headlining act on the inaugural Taste Of Chaos tour in 2005 helping launch the tour as a yearly global event. Taste Of Chaos is now a gigantic brand name synonymous with an aggressive rock sound The Used helped define.

The Used are now currently in the studio with longtime producer John Feldmann, and according to the band, "Fans should expect something unexpected" for their third album, due in early 2007.

The Used are:

Bert McCracken - vocals

Jeph Howard - bass

Quinn Allman - guitar
