X Sets Weekend Starts Today

Honestly, I totally forgot about Easter last weekend or else I would have done the X Sets then. Better late than never, though, so we'll kick off the X Sets today at 3. It's better this way because we have the new Tool song and I'm looking forward to some big-ass X Sets from Maynard and company.

Since Radio From Hell did my show yesterday, I was able to do something for lunch that I've always wanted. I went to Ab's Drive-In. During 90's At Noon, I always have to tell you about Ab's and the delicious Fat Boy burger and thick shakes, and I'm usually hungry for lunch around then.

Well yesterday, Corey O'Brien and I got in the car and went to Ab's and loaded up on Fat Boy burgers, hand cut fries and I had a Butterfinger shake. Yum!

X96 Radio From Hell Won't Leave

They won't leave. I guess that's cool because I'm working on a bunch of stuff, including an X-Sets Weekend. That will start tomorrow at 3 pm.

Hey, I sort of get an unexpected day off!

Mountain Bike

It's time to get the damn mountain bike out and do some riding. Most of my riding is on the street, but I prefer the ruggedness of my mountain bike as opposed to a street bike. I don't wear the tight shorts either. Let's just hope that we've seen the last of the snow.

Tool lyrics

Someone posted the Tool lyrics on my comments yesterday, and I'm posting them here. Very cool!

Vicarious

Eye on the T.V.
'Cause tragedy thrills me.
Whatever flavor
It happens to be.

(like?)
Killed by the husband
Drowned by the ocean
Shot by his own son.
She used a poison in his tea
And kissed him goodbye
It's my kind of story
It's no fun 'til someone dies

Don't look at me like
I am a monster
Frown out your one face
But with the other
Stare like a junkie into the T.V.
Stare like a zombie

While the mother
Holds her child
Watches him die
Hands to the sky crying
Why oh why

'Cause I need to watch things die
From a distance
Vicariously I
Live while the whole world dies
You all need it too
Dont lie

Why cant we just admit it (x2)

We won't give pause until the blood is flowing.
Neiter the brave nor bold
Will write us the story so
We won't give pause until the blood is flowing

I need to watch things die
From a good safe distance
Vicariously I live while the whole world dies
You all feel the same, so

Why can't we just admit it

Blood like rain came down
Drownin grave and ground

Part vampire
Part warrior
Carnivore and voyeur
Still have the transmitters
Sing to the death rattle

La, la, la, la, la, la-la-lie (x4)

Credulous at best, your desire to believe in
Angels in the hearts of men
Pull your head on out
Your head believes in, give a listen
Shouldn't have to say it all again
The universe is hostile
So impersonal
Devour to survive
So it is
So it's always been

We all feed
On tragedy
If we're not, too, a vampire

Vicariously I
Live while the whole world dies
Much better you than I.
