Friday Friday Friday!

Damn the White Stripes for cancelling their tour. We've never had them in Utah before, and then they end up blowing out their entire tour. I was looking forward to this show. Oh well. I hope Meg is OK. It must be difficult to do a huge concert tour ... and I bet working with a nut like Jack White doesn't cause any undue stress.

Take your White Stripes tickets back for a refund and then use the money for tickets to the X96 Maverik Big Ass Show.

Comments? Anyone? Buhler?

I remember the Golden Era of blogs when I'd get comments from lots of readers. It was a joyous time, I'd even participate in the comment discussion ... but nowadays there's just nobody posting comments. :(

Because Your Ass Deserves More

We've added two more bands to the X96 Maverik Big Ass Show. For the same low ticket price of $25 (Smith's Tix, Graywhale, X96 Studio) you now get Madina Lake and Schoolyard Heroes. It's more ass for your concert dollar from X96.

3:10 to Yuma, 8:30 to Salt Lake

I saw 3:10 to Yuma last night and I loved it. Seems like there hasn't been a decent western made since Unforgiven back in the early 90's. It's amazing to watch British actor Christian Bale and Australian actor Russell Crowe play the leads in this character-based drama. Cool movie!

Speaking of trains, I saw the UTA Frontrunner test train running on the new rails through Davis County this morning on my way to work. I can't wait for the Frontrunner trains to be up and running. It will make my commute so much easier.
