New Music Mother's Day Weekend

If your mom is like mine, then she'll appreciate the New Music Weekend we're doing for Mother's Day. Lot's of Mama Nuke 'Em's favorites from Nine Inch Nails, White Stripes, Yellowcard, Interpol, Marilyn Manson, Queens of the Stone Age and more will pour from your radio all weekend long. It starts today at 3pm with Artie Fufkin.

Time to bike!

It's time to get my fat ass back on the mountain bike so I can get back in shape. When you put your sexy stretchy bike shorts on and they stretch a little too far, then you know it's time to get serious about it again. Is that a UFO over my shoulder? A giant golf ball?

Morrissey!

The Morrissey concert last night was awesome! He was in great form, rolling around on the stage during "Life Is A Pigsty" and throwing his shirt into the crowd, proclaiming, "You don't really want that smelly thing. I bought it at Target."

The best part was when he played the classic Smiths song "Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want." I loved it. His band was amazing as usual. It's always good to see guitar stud Boz Boorer strutting around the stage.

It's the musical instrument of the future. Or at least for Trent Reznor. You'll hear how he employs these sounds on the song "Vessel" from the Year Zero album.

I'm Totally Gay For Emo Spiderman

That's right. Spiderman is homoerotic, and I'm man enough to admit that the dressed-in-black, eyeliner wearing, emo spiderman is ... well ... kinda hot. Not so much Tobey Maguire, but the CGI version.

See how deep he is? Dressed in black, brooding in the rain just like a My Chemical Romance video? Since it is a computer generated image, they make sure the character has perfect muscles and a nice butt in his tight black costume. Yes, emo spiderman is homoerotic.

Now I'm gonna have to ask Mrs. Nuke 'Em to dress up like Catwoman for the next few weeks.
