Long Live New Wave

I love The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, The Bravery, Stellastarr, Elkland, and a bunch of other bands bringing back the retro-new wave sound. It makes me want to dress like Simon LeBon circa 1985. Where's my shiny blue skinny tie?

Can I Stay With You For A While?

Hey. I have a slight problem I need your help with. I need a place to crash for a while ... maybe--oh, I don't know--for five months. Maybe six. I won't be much trouble. I'm hardly ever around. The lovely Mrs. Nuke 'Em will be with me as well. And our two cats.

See? Here's the deal: we accepted an offer on our house last night. Our new place won't be done until early January (maybe sooner, but you never know.) So is it cool if we crash at your place for a few months? I'll mow your lawn and do your dishes. My wife will cook your dinner. If you have an extra bedroom, that would be sweet. You could even put us in your basement if you want. We don't take up much space. I make a mean chicken stir-fry, too.

If you don't have a lot of room, we could share your bedroom. That would be a little strange at first, but we'd all get used to it eventually. But I do snore--just a warning.

I guess I could even do your laundry, but I'd really rather not.

I'll let you know if the sale goes through within a couple of weeks, but is it okay if I bring over a few things this afternoon? Just a couple of boxes of things ... you know ... to start the moving process?

Great!

I'll be over tonight around six with a U-Haul truck.

Thanks, I really appreciate this.

You don't mind if I re-arrange your furniture a little bit, just so I feel comfy, do you?

The X96 Big Ass Show

I've been working 10-12 hours per day for the past couple of months speaking with band managers in order to assemble the X96 Big Ass Show. My work is nearly finished, and we will announce the lineup a week from today (unless we change our minds)on Radio From Hell. We hope to make it one of the biggest, most diverse Big Ass Shows in the eleven-year history of the event.

And the tickets are still the same price as the last couple of years. $20 plus service fees. (The first 1000 tickets will be sold at $9.60.)

The show is Saturday, September 24th from about noon to 6:30. Plan on attending.

1:20 pm "We Don't Care Anymore" Story of the Year (Brand new song. The band sent it to me early, so I'll play it before any other stations in the country have it. Muhahaha!)

Some Blogs Are Better Than Others

Why don't you take a look at a blog that I find quite amusing?

www.zackshutt.net

Zack is a nerdy kid who I think is a genius. It's true, too. Zack is co-authoring a novel with me. More details coming...
