Can I Stay With You For A While?
Hey. I have a slight problem I need your help with. I need a place to crash for a while ... maybe--oh, I don't know--for five months. Maybe six. I won't be much trouble. I'm hardly ever around. The lovely Mrs. Nuke 'Em will be with me as well. And our two cats.
See? Here's the deal: we accepted an offer on our house last night. Our new place won't be done until early January (maybe sooner, but you never know.) So is it cool if we crash at your place for a few months? I'll mow your lawn and do your dishes. My wife will cook your dinner. If you have an extra bedroom, that would be sweet. You could even put us in your basement if you want. We don't take up much space. I make a mean chicken stir-fry, too.
If you don't have a lot of room, we could share your bedroom. That would be a little strange at first, but we'd all get used to it eventually. But I do snore--just a warning.
I guess I could even do your laundry, but I'd really rather not.
I'll let you know if the sale goes through within a couple of weeks, but is it okay if I bring over a few things this afternoon? Just a couple of boxes of things ... you know ... to start the moving process?
Great!
I'll be over tonight around six with a U-Haul truck.
Thanks, I really appreciate this.
You don't mind if I re-arrange your furniture a little bit, just so I feel comfy, do you?

Well Todd, my friend told me this same kind of story when his marriage failed a while back, and a year and a half later he's still living in my basement...but hey if you dont mind commuting from Ogden youre more than welcome.
You don't mind sleeping in the garage do you? It's a pretty big garage once the cars are out...
Hey maybe Zack has room in his cardboard box!
WTF you are leaving the suburb? Bah! My brother is moving up from vegas and will be stayin at my house for a while or i would let you stay with me (big move from where you are now i know...)
You should have them extreme makeover people work on your house while they are in town Todd, then you could move in at the end of the week.
Dewey,
Yeah...about Zack's cardboard box, well, the thing about that is...he keeps the cardboard box in my back yard. So he'll be looking for a place as well--unless the buyers of my old house don't mind keeping him around.
Todd,
Well I can take in Zack too...he can upgrade to an aluminum shed with no door...thats livin'
actually i'm a little bummed about todd moving, i liked my little backyard spot. i think i'll be sleeping in a McDonalds restroom until todd's new home is complete.
Zack,
In the new house, you can even bring your box inside if it rains or gets cold.
But only to the basement.
And don't touch anything.
stay with me, kerry jackson
Todd,
I convinced my husband to move back home so you can have his overpass on I-15. You can catch the south bound rails at 4:15 and 6:15 to get to work in SLC and the 4:15 and 6:15 north bound at the end of your day. He will keep the solar fridge and furniture there along with his warm socks he did make homesteading rights so there should not be any issues.
OR we have the harry potter room under the stairs at our home in Farmington. But do not let Clark know.
hey Kerry Jackson, did you try those kamakazi's i gave you the recipe for? Richie said you did but he's a phone screener he might be lying to make me feel better...
Todd,
My oldest brother is getting married and my other brother is moving to california in the next few weeks, so you'd be more than welcome to crash at my place for as long as you want. You can have my brother's basement bedroom and bathroom. Let me know what you think.
Hey todd whats up gosh i cant wait for the big ass show it will be so awesome are you on my space???well c ya around
