I Miss Corey O'Brien

Yeah, I know ... Corey's in Spain enjoying a well-deserved vacation, but I miss the little bugger. I love all the DJ's on X96, but Corey's cubicle is next to mine and I feel like a big loner without him around. And at lunch, I have to walk to Taco Bell alone. It's like junior high all over again. I hate eating lunch alone.

He'll be back next week. I'm sure I'll be fine.

If I get lonely, Artie Fufkin will always be happy to give me a hug or carry me to my car.

***UPDATE*** After posting this, I received an email from Corey. He's kicking back somewhere in Spain. In his words: "completely amazing."

Web Nerds of the World Unite and Take Over

I need to give props to our punk-ass music critic on X96.com. Not only is Zack Shutt a music fan, he's also an award-winning web design student. He recently won a trip to Chicago to participate in the national finals of the TSA competition. He'll be headed there later this summer. I think he deserves a Mountain Dew Slurpee for that kind of accomplishment.

It looks like my wisdom teeth are staying right where they are: deeply embedded in my jaw. These bad boys are completely horizontal, and you'd need Artie Fufkin and a jackhammer to get 'em out. The dentist said, "Oh boy, if we ever have to remove these, the whole office will want to gather around and watch the oral surgeon flay your gums."

Ugh.

I don't know if it will ever be THAT fun. Especially for me.

It's just an apparent infection of some kind and I have some pills for that. As I was leaving he asked if I wanted some Lortab for the pain. Thinking of that fat load of crap Rush Limbaugh, I said, "No thanks."

And that's the story of my achy breaky teethy.

My Freaking Tooth Hurts Like Hell

This is what happens when you aren't "wise" enough to have your wisdom teeth ripped from your jaw when you're a college Sophomore: you're an alleged adult with one hell of a pain in your mouth. From past X-rays, it looks like the dentist will need a chainsaw to get my wisdom teeth out. I can hardly wait.

I have a dentist appointment at 4:30 today. I'll update you on the outcome.

Hey, maybe I just need a root canal.
