X96 in Rolling Stone magazine

A few months ago, I was contacted by Rolling Stone magazine for a story about alternative radio stations that are successful. Several alternative stations, including the one in New York City, have gone away over the past couple of years. They wanted to run a story about X96 and its success in Salt Lake City of all places. While we try to downplay our good fortune on the air, KXRK is one of the longest running alternative stations in the country, and often boasts ratings higher than KROQ in Los Angeles (respective to population in each market, of course.)

This is all because of your continued support, and I am forever grateful.

The article (which I haven't seen yet) will talk to a few radio stations that are successful in an era where radio is sometimes perceived as stale. It will be in the Summer Double issue of Rolling Stone and will be on stands one week from today.

I must admit that I am giddy to be featured in THE music magazine that I've been reading since high school.
