Old Demolition Derby Pictures

These photos are from the Salt Lake County Fair DJ demolition derby from 2001. I never had the chance to post them on the old X96 site back then, and in the process of unpacking a few boxes in the new home, I came across these pictures.

This is me smashing into the U92 car.

Is there a bit of red-neck blood in my veins if I enjoy this sort of activity?

I won first place. Here's the handshake between the U92 driver and me.

All those years of attending demolition derbies in Ogden, Hooper, Morgan, and Heber paid off. In 2002, the fair hosted another DJ derby, and I came back and drove for KJQ--this was the year when I was off of X96 and programming KJQ, which is now 103.1 Jack FM. I won first place again in 2002.

Yes, I am a true hick.

10:20 am "Baby Pain" Intaferon (I should start a support group for old new-wavers.)
1:20 pm "Silver And Cold" AFI (I heard their new song last Thursday, and it is quite good! They'll be on this year's Warped Tour as well. I can't wait until I have the new AFI to play for you!)

Zack,

When you get the Mercedes Benz, can I have J.H. Car for use in a derby?

Derby huh? Good old fashioned stress relief...when i becomes an obsession and you start loosing teeth, then you might be a redneck.
