RATED F causing trouble in schools

I've had two different students from two different schools (West High and Woods Cross High) tell me that they're getting heat from teachers and administrators for reading RATED F.

It's because of the cover of the book: a photo of a gun and a videotape. I'll assume the gun is what has everybody upset.

All I can say to the "educators" is this: You better get all of the history books and scribble out the mention of any weapons in the chapters about the various wars fought throughout history. You better not discuss current world events and terrorism. Don't let anyone read To Kill A Mockingbird because it has the word "kill" in it. Someone might start killing birds. Don't serve meat at the school cafeteria, because the animals it came from were ... well ... killed.

Don't let the kids think for themselves. They might learn something. That picture of the gun on the front cover of RATED F? It might be the cardboard binder of a novel that shows us that guns are indeed dangerous.

But most importantly, dear "educators," don't judge a book by its cover.

Oh my god. Kids actually wanting to read? What is this world coming to?

Geez, Todd. You should just have people ban it already and then you can get into the newspapers and TV, decrying the irony of all this censorships for the superficiality, and not for the content.

Hey, it would be the best press any author could receive.

Don't worry about them Ben. They're just communists who think they're down with their whole "scene," claiming to know everything there is to know about music.

They're everywhere. "You know nothing about the local scene" "you don't know what you're talking about."

Brush it off your shoulder ben. They were playing with Pokemon cards and watching Sesame Street at age 12.

You rock.

My God when will this over reacting politically correct maddness end. The cover of a book are you f*cking kidding me? Wow just when you think the people in this state cant get their heads any farther in the sand, something like this reminds you just how far we havent come.

Dont let these people do your thinking guys...
