Trains!
I'm back from my train driving excursion in Ely, Nevada at the Nevada Northern Railway. Bob, my instructor, taught me how to operate a 1948 Alco diesel electric locomotive. It kicked ass. Here are some silly-ass photos. (Note my engineer hat. You can't drive a train without one.)

The day before, we rode in the passenger car.

I didn't drive this old steam engine, but it kicks ass anyway.

Putting on my engineer boots!

Taking the required written test. (I cheated.)

"All aboard!"

Bob, my instructor, showing me the throttle and brakes.

Who the hell is driving the train?

I'm an old pro.

Looks like a fun adventure todd.
Written test? Do they give written test to the terrorists hijacking trains too?
Sigh.
