Todd's iPod songs for Wednesday 4/6
10:20 "Swing Life Away" Rise Against (A chill song from these hardcore punks? Yup. And it's damn good!)
Great lyrics on this one:
"I'll show you mine, if you show me yours first
Let's compare scars, I'll tell you whose is worse
Let's unwrite these pages and replace them with our own words
We live on front porches and swing life away"
Brilliant. I love lyrics that mean something. But I'm a writer (please buy my book) so what do you expect?
1:20 "Not an Addict" K's Choice (My personal addictions: Mountain Dew, chocolate, coffee, cat food...)

From a recovering addict . . . of soda (what did you think I was gonna say, Todd?), I wasn't too big into the softer sounds of Rise Against. I'm of the opinion that, unless your Green day, punks should not show their soft & sweet side.
Please don't fire me for my comments. ;-)

P.S. You did say you wanted people to comment, so here's my attempt to get the ball rolling.

Hey Todd,
Since you're a reader, you've probably already read the books "Letters From a Nut," and "More Letters From A Nut" by Ted L. Nancy, but after reading your link to Shutt's spam fighting tactics, I had to mention them. Similar humor, damn funny stuff.
Oh- and that was nice of Tom to mention it, but I liked the Rise Against. And as long as we're talking punk, and you're the big PD, howabout some MXPX? it's been a while.

Gordon b stinkey out.
Hey Todd, I see that you played some Rise Against today, but I was wondering if you played the Album version or the Acoustic Version, you should check out the Acoustic Verson it is on a Great Comp. Disc called "Punk Goes Acoustic" you can even see the track listing on amazon, it has a lot of punkers showing off their softer side

All is good.
Agent DeReese a geek.
