BIG DRAMA ON EVERWOOD

In case you missed last night's Everwood (WB 30 monday 8 p.m.) let me give you a quick re-cap of all the drama.

Ephram finds out that the baby sitter was actually pregnant with his love child ... and that his father (played by Treat Williams and his beard) was instrumental in keeping the pregnancy hidden. There was a great scene when Ephram (Gregory Smith) and his father confront each other about the situation. Those two have excellent on-screen chemistry. Ephram eventually seeks solace with Amy (Emily Van Camp.)

Guys, the lesson learned here is obvious: don't get on the baby sitter.

In other Everwood action, Bright (Chris Pratt) decides to get a job, much to the delight of his father (Tom Amandes).

Note that the scene where the baby sitter and Ephram discuss the pregnancy was shot in the Beehive Tea Room. A scene in the doctor's office has a clear view of the Ko Ko Mo Club through the window on Ogden's 25th Street. I love locally filmed television shows!

Will the rift between Ephram and Dr. Brown ever be solved? Tune in next week for all the drama.

Todd's iPod for 4/19

10:20 a.m. "Dear God" XTC (Sounds like somebody didn't pay attention in Primary! Was that song too "out there" for you? Let me know.)

1:20 p.m. "Hello" Poe (This is different than the version on the album. She recored this cut with her touring band for more of a "live" feel. During one of the Big Ass Shows from years ago, Poe actually threw birthday cake at my dear friend Mike Summers. You have to love Poe.)

Todd, you rock.

I was heartbroken that I wouldn't be able to catch Everwood due to an insatiable thirst for anything liquid at 7-eleven around the time the show came on last night. Thanks for easing my heartache with your update (and especially listing the actor's true names...they've become so human to me now).

Let us know if they shoot your new pink shoes on the show.

"Dear God" is an awesome song, i think the first time i heard it was like... 1 year ago? Don't worry, it kicks (present tense, are you happy?) ass.

As far as Everwood goes... i've never seen it.

Zack,

You know way too much about the old school music.(This is a good thing.) You remind me of Corey O'Brien, who knows too much about The Smiths. (But then Corey has this unhealthy thing for Chris Isaak as well--and that's a little disturbing.) Anyhow, you definitely rock. I love it when the classics aren't forgotten.

If Garbage comes to town, I'll get you backstage passes so you can meet our mutual girlfriend, Ms. Shirley Manson.

As far as Sharing Time goes, I think it's time for a stand-up song to help get our wiggles out. How about "Do As I'm Doing"?

Man, that was cool to hear Poe again. So tell me . . . what does a suave button pusher like me gotta do to get that song? :-)

Oh, and sorry I missed Everwood. Sounds like it's perfect for the family. Maybe this'll be the impetus I need to give up watching Pro-wrestling and "24"

Loved the "Dear God" song. Even though I'm not a huge Poe fan, that version of "Hello" is by far better than the original one.

Don't ever give up 24, Tom. But you should just wait until the DVD's come out, the suspense can kill a man if you have to sit through commercials.

And what ever happened to Mike Summers?
